What Are Fire Detection Systems?

Fire Detection Systems and Fire Warning Systems are perhaps the most important within the scope of electronic security systems because they provide vital protection within their purpose. Therefore, these systems should be designed in accordance with the applicable fire protection regulations and standards to prevent even the smallest error or interruption. Mainly installed in all places for the same purpose and service, fire detection systems and fire warning systems are installed with different applications in different structures in line with different needs.

Fire Detection Systems and Fire Alarm Systems, as the name implies, are not systems for fire extinguishing, but are the systems that provide immediate evacuation by warning in case of a possible danger. However, with the developing technology, Fire Warning Systems can work integrated with other systems and aim to rapidly evacuate the fire environment, thus preventing both material and moral losses.

Generally there are two different Fire Alarm Systems.These are Conventional Fire Alarm Systems and Analogue Addressable Alarm Systems.

Conventional Fire Alarm Systems:

Systems that work on detecting fire in a particular area.Conventional Fire Alarm Systems, operating with the detection logic called zone, detect the fire with the signals of the fire detection detectors connected to these zones and give regional warning.They are much simpler and much more economical than the other system.For this reason, they are especially preferred in small projects and where the risk of fire is less. The biggest flaw of these systems is that they can be affected by changes in weather and temperature, and create false fire alarm risks.The following equipment is used within the system;

  • Smoke Detectors
  • Heat Detectors
  • BeemDetectors
  • Fire Buttons
  • Fire Sirens
  • Fire Flashers

Analogue Addressable Alarm Systems:

It is especially preferred in high and complex buildings since it can detect fire in points.In this system, each detector is connected to a loop line. The cables and sensors coming out of the lines circulate the different sensor elements such as smoke-heat-temperature rise rate in turn and control one by one and provide a continuous report about the environment.In case of any malfunction and fire, it gives the necessary notification to the control panel where all loops are connected and warns. Addressable Fire Detection Systems, which can be integrated to other mechanical systems, are more preferred in complex structures since they can be developed and provide detailed reports. The following equipment is used within the system;

  • Smoke Detectors
  • Heat Detectors
  • BeemDetectors
  • Multi Sensors
  • Fire Buttons
  • Fire Sirens
  • Fire Flashers
